The challenge
The opening was wide with full-height glazing behind it, leaving valuable stock and expensive glass exposed after hours.
The shutter had to be robust enough for daily commercial use while looking smart against the store's branding and the neighbouring units.
What we did
- Surveyed and measured the opening accurately, then fabricated a shutter sized to fit with correct guide clearances.
- Fitted the box, barrel, guides and curtain, wired the motor and set the open and close limits.
- Tested the full cycle, the manual override and the safety stop before handing over and showing the staff how to operate it.
The result
The store now secures its shopfront and stock in seconds at closing time and reopens just as quickly each morning.
The anthracite finish complements the shopfront, and the insulated curtain runs smoothly and quietly.
